Maintenance Manager
Alexandria, Louisiana
As Maintenance Manager, you will supervise, control and coordinate the repair and maintenance of equipment and facilities. You will directly oversee three Maintenance Supervisors and an Engineering Electronic Technician, while indirectly supervising 30 employees. This position also champions the preventative maintenance program, purchasing of parts and supplies for the department, and the management of daily activities. Ideal candidates will have the expertise and hands-on ability to aid in the repairs and maintenance of the manufacturing tank car facility, when needed.
A Bachelors degree is preferred, but a high school diploma is acceptable. Fifteen years experience in a manufacturing environment, with three to five of those years spent managing a team is an absolute for success in this role. Project management skills specificallya demonstrated ability to take a proposal, develop a workable solution and spearhead its completion is essential. Ability to tear down/rebuild equipment and train employees in effective troubleshooting is strongly preferred. Finally, your motivational skills will result in superior performance from your team.
