Career Placement Coordinator

POSITIONBlue Cliff College is seeking a Career Placement Coordinator responsible for remaining attentive to students' educational and other needs in regard to graduate employment assistance.
Must demonstrate successful achievement by exceeding acceptable rates of student employment in the career field for which the school provides education as evidenced by verifiable records and documentation of initial employment of graduates.
Responsible for assisting students with employment search, career goal setting, occupational searches, resume preparation, interviewing techniques and other strategies leading towards employment; Represent the college in job development activities with local and regional employers to seek employment; Interview student job seekers; Design and implement various workshops in career planning, job hunting skills, professional development skills and internship programs; Assist students with all career services activities to include the alignment of academic preparation, the certification process and career aspirations; Assist with career fairs; Assist with outreach programs to promote and encourage use of career services by students, faculty and staff; Enhancing public awareness of the college for the development of graduate placement opportunities and outside admissions leads.
JOB DUTIES Complies with all college policies and procedures as well as state and federal regulations Maintain up-to date graduation and employment charts with supporting documentation to ensure above 85% employment rate across programs.
Provide up-to-date graduation and employment charts with supporting documentation weekly to the Regional Director of Career and Student Services.
Maintain and input accurate employment verification records in Campus Vue.
Submit verification information to our third party verification vendor with results concluding at least 80% verified as correct and no more than 3% verified as inaccurate.
Maintain and complete student files to ensure minimum advising sessions occur.
Finalize close-out process post-graduation of all student services files.
Complete Blue Cliff College ethics training and score 80% on Blue Cliff College Ethics quiz upon hire and annually.
Develops and coordinates career advising services, job search assistance and externship opportunities Develops and coordinates student workshops on resume writing, interviewing skills and other related topics; host workshops quarterly Organizes and coordinates biannual job fair on campus and attends off-campus job fairs and invites employers and field experts for in-class speaking engagements Supports students by facilitating, promoting and coordinating contacts with employers, recruiters by making 40 calls daily to network with potential employers to ensure placement rates exceed minimum standards Provides support to students including but not limited to Mock interview, resume preparation and job readiness skills Present student outcomes reported to ACCSC's Annual Report Portal at least annually per program at Program Advisory Committee Meetings Solicit Program Advisory Committee Members' feedback to improve graduation and employment rates Engages businesses in the community with career services to invite speakers, provide internship mentors and to expand job placement opportunities Works in coordination with Academic Team to ensure programmatic alignment with Externship, job readiness and Employment outcomes to reach 30% conversion metric Participates in relevant campus and college subcommittees Monitor upcoming scheduled test dates and calls students before and after Maintain a Success Board and keep all plaques and awards updated and on display Send, track and maintain Graduate Satisfaction Survey six months after graduation Research and respond to employment advertisements on employment websites, company websites and classified ads Make face-to-face visits with employment agency recruiters, human resources personnel, spa and salon owners, etc.
for externship, initial employment and continued gainful employment opportunities Guest lecture quarterly seminar classes and/or professional development - topics of discussion to include resume writing, professional dressing, interviewing, etc.
Sit on a variety of volunteer boards throughout the community as a way to keep the college's name out in the public and generate a source of potential employment leads for graduates Perform additional duties as needed.
COMPENSATIONIn the spirit of pay transparency, we can share that the pay range for this position is $18-$24 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.
If you are hired, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
