Service Technician

C & B Equipment, a progressive family-owned company that has grown over 30 years to include John Deere Ag, material handling and power sports locations has an opening for a Service Technician at its Alexandria, Louisiana location.
A service technician performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned material handling equipment.
Essential Duties:
Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on material handling equipment Participates in training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge Maintains current product knowledge of our products Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment Loads and unloads equipment when requested Promotes and sells the service department to customers including service work, inspections, and parts to increase customer safety and satisfaction Mentors other less experienced service technicians Maintains a professional appearance Follows all safety procedures and guidelines and works in a safe manner
Qualifications:
Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
occasionally Knowledge of tools and techniques used to repair equipment Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Experience in operating vehicles and equipment, including those used for diagnostic purposes Valid driver's license and a safe driving record Previous material handling equipment operation and repair experience Willingness to travel on job assignments Associates or working towards a Diesel Technology degree or related field Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling Employee

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
